Richard has worked steadily as an actor and director for 40+ years. He has resided in Elgin for nearly 30 years, served two terms on the Elgin Cultural Arts Commission, and produced its Page To Stage play reading series. He currently serves on the board of the Elgin Theatre Company and occasionally writes theatre reviews for the Northwest Herald. He first collaborated with Dennie in 1992 on a production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. They shared a love of the theatre and encouraged young performers for nearly 25 years. It is his privilege to continue Dennie’s legacy with this scholarship fund.
