Diane McFarlin

Diane proudly serves the DTSF Board as its secretary. After working with and knowing Dennie Taylor for over 20 years, it is her honor to help coordinate and establish scholarships in his honor, for deserving students studying their art.

Diane received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. She has worked in public education for 32 years serving as teacher/director; Instructional Coach; Vocational Director; Dean of Students; and most recently as Assistant Principal for Student Services and Special Education at Kaneland High School, School District #302 until her retirement in 2017.

In addition to her career in Education, she has spent over 40 years in the world of theatre as an actor, singer, producer, and director. She currently serves as the Artistic Director for the Kaneland Arts Initiative and oversees its season of theatrical performances. Diane is married to Peter, who she met while acting, and they have three artistic and creative young adult children.
